Hamilton Indie Music is a community-driven platform dedicated to promoting independent artists, venues, studios, and live music throughout the Hamilton area. The website serves as a central resource for discovering and supporting local music.
The goal was to redesign the website to better support Hamilton’s music community, improve SEO, increase community engagement, and provide an easier way for artists and music businesses to showcase their work.
I conceived and managed the project from concept to launch, designing and developing a custom WordPress website tailored to the local music industry. I created custom profile builders for artists, music, venues and studios, integrated audio and video, developed custom registration forms, wrote the website content, implemented on-page SEO and provided ongoing hosting and maintenance.
Hamilton Indie Music has grown into a recognized online resource for the local music community, helping increase the visibility of independent artists while establishing a trusted local brand. As a personal passion project, I continue to evolve the platform with new features and improvements that support the changing needs of Hamilton’s independent music scene.
